December 12, 2006 By: Don Willoughby Examine your options when looking for a low interest credit card for bad creditIt certainly doesn't hurt to try and see if you will be accepted for an unsecured card. Just be aware that the interest rate will be higher and you will probably have a lower spending limit with a shorter grace period. The company is testing you to see how you do. If you decide to go that route make sure that you are able to pay off any purchases each month or at least make the minimum payment. Do not get caught paying the exorbitant fees and interest charges. In time as they see that you are being responsible you will have more options available to you. Another route instead of a low interest credit card for bad credit is to get a secured credit card right from the start. You simply put down a deposit that acts as collateral. Again if you make consistent payments over time this will build back your credit rating. This can be a very responsible move for your financial situation.
