The use of credit cards has increased tremendously with the ever growing cashless society that we all live in. Carrying cards is a sign of the times that remind us that cash is of days gone by.

As we enter into the next century it becomes more and more apparent that people who carry cards find it safer and easier than dealing in cash. Whether it is a simple purchase or a trip around the world, credit cards are accepted most anywhere worldwide. The most popular cards are Mastercard, Visa and American Express and are easy to apply for. Once you have your card or cards and are using them regularly, your credit rating becomes established and your credit allowance is increased giving you access to more money which you may require for the purchase of a new home or a car.

We all know that credit cards are convenient, but they can also be dangerous. Keep in mind that the advantage of having access to credit and maintaining a good credit rating is a matter of discipline.
